TEMPS KAIRÓS
Once day you pay attention to a damaged and spoiled object, which it’s out of place. You have probably seen it so many times but now, you observe it on a very different way. Actually, you spend time contemplating it and this stimulates you to transform it, to give it a new life. To create. Then you break your commitments with the clock and you get into a “Kairós” moment.

Octavi Intente (Castellar del Vallès, 1959) is an outstanding painter and “egarense” (Terrasa-Catalunya) artist, that after his first stage as a book illustrator, has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in important places such as Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Sevilla, France, USA, etc.
He studied sculpture at the Escuela Massana of Barcelona. His works are exposed at museums and foundations, but the most remarkable location is at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

You can also  see the work “Ullals”, sculpture by Octavi Intente at Edifici Miramar, during the Collective Exhibition organized by Drap Art during the Festival.

We invite you to enjoy the works carried out on an original and unique support, full of memories. The exhibition “Art in The Hammocks” It is a collective of artists from Sitges that have given a new life to old hammocks from the beaches of Sitges.

It is an initiative of The Art Fund of the Ave Maria Foundation and the joint cooperation of artist from Sitges: Artur Duc, Danilo, Dolores Luján, Frederic Anguera, Herminia Reverter, Isabel Pruna, Jordi Figueres, Lluís Barbadillo, Margarita Serraclara, Mercè Colina i Mercè Sella.

The profits earn will be allocated to the Ave Maria Foundation as part of its task in favor of people with intellectual disabilities.

Antonio Nevado: Antonio, alias Phoenix, is a multidisciplinary artist. He thinks nothing disappears or dies forever, neither the objects that are often thrown in the trash and we don’t pay attention on them. For Antonio, these pieces are an inspiration to do something completely different and beautiful than what they had originally been.

It is said that the human being are born with skills that are inserted into their DNA, or as Vedic culture say, skills are generated by past lives. In the case of Antonio, when he was a child he made his own toys with old junk he found. Today he performances spectacular sculptures and lamps.

He started his career by restoring furniture. Thereafter, he started decorating shops with recycled elements, transforming things and he has always used recycling. He participated in the second edition of Drap Art Barcelona exhibition with recycled furniture, although he has subsequently participated in other editions of Drap Art with other works.

Since 8 years ago he did not start making sculptures with all those things that he was accumulating. He works with wood, iron and stone, with anything he founds, this is how every piece is born. He has been influenced by the Kachinas, the comic and the African art … The results are usually characters with a strong personality.

El taller GRAMPUS is artistic recycling, they merge art and design.
They develop unique handmade pieces simmered, they use recycling, creative and playful transformation of recovered materials.

The name GRAMPUS is a private tribute to fantasy literature: the name of the whaling brig in embarking Arthur Gordon Pym in the story of EAPoe. Grampus is the beginning of an artistic adventure, open-ended.

artAmore Sitges was born in March 2014 with the aim of bringing art, craft and design. It’s a space designed for creativity. It’s a dimension that pays tribute to all the artists and artisans. We want to fill with light and colors the world around us.

In artAmore Sitges you will find a sample of the work of more than 90 artists and craftsmen who develop different techniques and styles, works of art and craft that will not leave you indifferent.
