Lidia Serra Ceramic Exhibition
NATURA ENGABIADA
References to Nature are almost always recurrent in an involuntary way in the work of Lidia Serra. They are introduced continuously with tenacity.
She shows fragments of personal representations of the vegetal world, in most of the creations she presents in her exhibition: NATURA ENGABIADA.
She uses sgraffito technique in clay as if she were ploughing the earth, then emerge spaces, spots, voids, etc. References which end up giving a meaning to what it starts as a game.
Lídia Serra Rosés (Barcelona-1964)
She studied ceramics at the Massana School in Barcelona. Afterwards she goes to Italy for a year where she has some artistic experiences. She returns to Barcelona for a short period and then leaves again, this time for South America, where she is almost a year traveling and visiting workshops of different artists and getting involved in some artistic projects.
Since 1993 she lives and works in her workshop in Sant Pere de Ribes. In addition to the work of the workshop, she teaches, she performs exhibitions and fairs both locally, and in other parts of Europe.
She loves making creativity her “modus vivendi”, either by creating her own work, or by introducing children to the world of imagination.
