SUMMARY:Exhibition: "Nature Lovers" by Anna Font
DESCRIPTION:With the exhibition “Nature Lovers”\, Anna invites us to consider the earth as our loving companion. This contemplation of spiritual awareness leads us to treat Mother Nature with esteem\, respect and carefulness\, as you take care for your lover. \nWith this selection of  watercolours on silk with the gutta technique\, Anna plays on a visual level with the connection of loving couples who merge with the environment\, completely integrating themselves with their habitat: leaves\, flowers\, trees or seas are part of her imaginary and transport us to a dreamlike space full of colour and tenderness. This exhibition invites us to gravitate freely with the energies of the colours\, shapes and sensations that inspire the artist from her most fantastic and cosmic subconscious. \nThe exhibition is part of the collective project “Mujeres en el Arte” (Women at Art) of the Asociación Armazon\, to promote women artists all over the world. They want to give visibility to women artists and their individual creations\, due to the fact that the participation of women artists in national museums is negligible in all countries of the world. This international project\, which started in 2022\, consists of personal exhibitions of women artists in the country where they live\, and began in Spain with the exhibition “Somos muchas” (We are many) by the artist Silvia Alcalá\, with 500 women’s faces. This project will be carried out every year to show the art of women in the world\, until the balance of participation of women artists in the world’s museums is achieved. artAmore Sitges joins and supports the project with the aim of empowering women artists as valuable entrepreneurs. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nANNA FONT PELAÓ: She has a special ability to transform reality and capture it in the magical world of silk with vibrant colours and undulating forms\, taking it to a state of dreamlike fantasy enhancing “the joy of living”. \nGraduated in Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts at La LLotja school in Barcelona\, she is specialised in Artistic Weaving and also in pictorial procedures and Mural Techniques. \nShe has participated in exhibitions at national and international level in countries such as Japan\, China\, Korea\, Switzerland and Italy. Anna has also collaborated with multinational companies making promotional designs for brands such as L’Oréal\, Chen Yu\, Lejia Conejo\, Janira\, Don Algodón\, etc. and made the poster-design-illustration for the “Mulla’t 2005” campaign for the fight against multiple sclerosis.

SUMMARY:The human footprint - Hatice Rana Tarhangil
DESCRIPTION:When you feel that you belong to something\, you take care of it\, you love it\, you defend it\, it could be yourself\, a family\, a house\, a group\, a community\, a country or the planet itself. When you feel that active value\, something inside moves and push you to protect it\, because it is a place where you identify yourself\, you feel at home. \nHave you ever asked yourself where you belong to? \nHatice Rana Tarhangil belongs to planet Earth. The artworks that you are going to enjoy are created to be an engine of agitation in our environmental conscience\, they transmit the beauty of nature and are born from recycled plastic bottles\, that she has obtained from the neighbors of Les Llosses\, Gombrèn and Campdevànol towns. \nAs a “Suprarreciclaje” (Upcycling) artist\, her desire is to preserve the planet\, leaving as a legacy\, not the accumulation of waste\, but the transformation of these into art\, to communicate an urgency that concerns to all of us. \n“Humans have intervened so much in the earth’s processes\, that we have even changed the planet’s natural cycle. We are already suffering the consequences\, and the human footprint will remain present on our planet even after our disappearance.” Ricard Arasa Gisbert \n  \nOpening: February 25th at 6pm. \nFrom February 25th to March 26th 2023\, at artAmore Sitges \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30h to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:Savage Collection by Koldo Logan
DESCRIPTION:I live in you\, I live in your eyes\, in your impulsive decisions\, I transform myself into your muscles\, horns\, and dreadlocks\, and I turned into your wildest\, darkest\, and most natural dreams. We are the expression of a rolling plan that goes beyond surrealism and naturalism\, to fully achieve the reality of all our fantasies\, desires\, and chimeras. \nFrom the first Action Mans\, with their masculine symbology\, beauty\, and suggestive attributes\, I now guide you through the same tribal and mythological essence of the human being\, with the evolution of the wild nudity of Cervus\, Taurus\, Haniel and Ragnar. Throughout the years of discovery and expression\, of studying the male anatomy\, there is only a thin line between enlightening clarity and darkness. A single click that fires in the mind when the wildest version of yourself emerges. Wake up. Open the door into your imagination. Let us into your life. \nExtended until October 31st. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExtended until October 31\, at artAmore Sitges. \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm \nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:"Els Ninots d’en Tonet" by Toni Riera\, Upcycling
DESCRIPTION:“The dolls of Tonet” is a sample of dolls made from the waste that the sea carries to the Menorcan coast: wood\, plastics\, and all kind of objects that the sea reject\, because it does not consider them its own\, returning them\, arriving at coves and beaches of the island of Menorca. \nWith this waste material\, Toni Riera builds a world of animals\, beasts\, and other characters\, a three-dimensional collage of objects made on the pure style of the object trouvé\, the assemblage and the artistic recycling. \nIn his new exhibition we will be able to see a series of new batch pieces\, made especially for artAmore Sitges\, animals that are part of the Menorcan territory and others that could currently live on the island\, all from the sky\, from the land and from the sea\, pieces that they speak of this island so fragile\, so unique and with an unencryptable spectacular natural beauty. \nTONI RIERA I ROMA – Lleida – 1974\nHe has always decontextualized objects\, reconverting their function\, elevating them to the category of art. Reuse and recycle each other\, to build artistic pieces in sculptures or installations. \nToni Riera Roma\, despite being a superior technician in Applied Arts to the Wall and Pictorial Procedures at the Leandre Cristóbal de Lleida Municipal School of Fine Arts\, having trained himself in other fields such as the sculpture\, the engraving\, and the ceramics\, and having practiced painting for a time\, finally he succumbs to the object as a working method. He has been trained as a monitor and a workshop\, he is now dedicated to teaching in art centres\, schools\, and recycling festivals\, and he specializes himself in recovering the object as a tool for artistic expression\, promoting the values of creative recycling. In 2003 he settled to live in Menorca\, and it was here\, walking along the beaches\, where he began to discover among the waste that the sea carried towards its shores\, a new material to work with\, a new material that would be part of his work until now. \n  \nFrom November 27th to December 31st 2021\, at artAmore Sitges \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30h to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:Exhibition "Mud you are" by Koldo Logan
DESCRIPTION:Paint\, watercolor\, and human figures. He went back to his artistic origins\, now experimenting with three-dimensional clay modeling. The finish gains visual relevance reinforcing the blurred\, and almost rough\, molded figure. \nKoldo says “The interest that moves me is the masculine anatomy\, which is not unfamiliar to my previous work. Nevertheless\, this is a new media\, created by fragmentary pieces that seem to take form in front of the viewer\, as an inheritance of the latent fetishism on my previous work featuring transformed figures and my experience in portrait photography. My process turns into a beautiful and proportional masculine body as a plastic result. The portray of a svelte body which\, almost posing\, tries to engage the audience with its insinuations.” \nHis proposal is a tactful provocation that winks to the beholder. A cocktail of images that reminds to the Italian Renaissance\, the classical mythology\, and the Nude in Impressionism. \n  \nFrom August 27th to September 20th 2021\, at artAmore Sitges \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30h to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:Sergi Lopez Upcycling Exhibiton
DESCRIPTION:At artAmore Sitges\, during the 52 International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia in Sitges\, Sergi López shows us two different collections\, based on artistic recycling made with old cameras: \nAPOCALYPTO \nCollection of miniature pieces inspired by an apocalyptic world and science fiction. Works made with recycled materials\, especially with pieces from old cameras and using steel\, leather\, ceramics\, cotton\, etc. \nSPACECRAFTS \nMiniature rocket\, vehicles and spaceships\, made to the smallest detail with discarded cameras\, recycled material that recreates the world of interstellar space. \nSERGI LÓPEZ (Barcelona -1979). \nSince he was a child he began to develop the ability to invent parallel and futuristic universes in his first toys\, transforming them\, as he couldn’t find what he wanted to play\, he began to create his first stages and models. Sergi in his adolescence developed very diverse interests\, highlighting his interest for the analogue photography\, the culture and the sports. \nSelf-taught\, he started out creating works with different techniques like the sculpture\, the painting\, the graphic design\, the furniture\, the clothing\, the interior design\, the photography\, the cinema and the writing\, focusing himself finally on the industrial design\, the result is a very eclectic work. \nNow he remains focused on photography\, and also the design of exclusive decorative objects\, unique pieces inspired by three of his passions: the outer space\, the sea and the cinema. \nIn his first works he achieves a special ability to recycle plastics\, metals or wood to create works of art. One of his philosophies is to avoid throwing anything in the garbage\, this is why he has an infinite workshop of classified pieces for the creation of his works.
