SUMMARY:DR.ZENON – “Robotnik Overload II”
DESCRIPTION:Marcos has worked steadily and consistently to invade artAmore’s Heaven with his Robots\, which are assembled with recycled metal objects from all corner of the galaxy. Marco comes back to Sitges with ROBOTNIK OVERLOAD II and you can visit the exhibition from July 23rd to August 25th at artAmore Sitges. \nInspired especially in science fiction of the 50’s and the craziest B series. Without resorting to any sketch or preliminary design\, each robot takes shape from the materials that appear\, keeping the original appearance and qualities of each object. Once created\, its name appears alone\, inspired by the materials used\, a story or a character in homage to cinema or literature\, which makes each robot a unique and personalized piece. \nDr. Zenon project was founded in 2013 in Tenerife. Marcos has exhibited their creations in famous landmarks such as the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) and the Fine Arts of Tenerife. He has also participated in artistic recycling fairs with Drap-Art in Barcelona and in Nómada Market\, in Madrid\, as well as fairs that are deeply rooted in the Canary Islands such as the Regional Craft Fair and the Pinolere Craft Fair. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Zenon’s robots invade artAmore’s Heaven\, art with recycling materials. \nFrom July 23rd to August 25th 2022\, at artAmore Sitges. \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm \nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:“RACONS DE MAR I MUNTANYA” by Pepita Masafrets
DESCRIPTION:“Racons de mar i muntanya”. \nWith this exhibition\, Pepita reflects the fascination she feels for the charm of the facades of small towns and old neighborhoods of cities\, both in the mountains and on the coast\, with their irregular and worn stones. Pepita reproduces the facades\, the details of the doors\, the windows\, the doorways\, etc. with recycled materials\, of the different places she visits. \nShe is a music teacher and although her studies are focused on music\, she can’t remember her life without tools in her hands. When she was a child her father taught him to work with wood\, since then she has not stopped shaping her ideas with all kinds of materials. \nIn 2007 an old window frame came into her hands\, she reproduced with original and recycled materials the façade of her partner’s town\, a small village in the Pyrenees\, Ochagavia. Thus began her project “Puertas del Pirineo”. Doors of the Pyrenees have the stamp of the Catalan Government\, “Emprentas de Catalunya”. \nShe likes to give old objects and materials a second life and see how a dirty old window becomes a precious piece. All the materials she uses\, stone\, wood\, chalk\, are recycled\, depending on the materials she can find. \n  \nFrom June 25th to July 19th\, at artAmore Sitges. \nOpen all days from 10.30am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm \nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges \ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:"Els Ninots d’en Tonet" by Toni Riera\, Upcycling
DESCRIPTION:“The dolls of Tonet” is a sample of dolls made from the waste that the sea carries to the Menorcan coast: wood\, plastics\, and all kind of objects that the sea reject\, because it does not consider them its own\, returning them\, arriving at coves and beaches of the island of Menorca. \nWith this waste material\, Toni Riera builds a world of animals\, beasts\, and other characters\, a three-dimensional collage of objects made on the pure style of the object trouvé\, the assemblage and the artistic recycling. \nIn his new exhibition we will be able to see a series of new batch pieces\, made especially for artAmore Sitges\, animals that are part of the Menorcan territory and others that could currently live on the island\, all from the sky\, from the land and from the sea\, pieces that they speak of this island so fragile\, so unique and with an unencryptable spectacular natural beauty. \nTONI RIERA I ROMA – Lleida – 1974\nHe has always decontextualized objects\, reconverting their function\, elevating them to the category of art. Reuse and recycle each other\, to build artistic pieces in sculptures or installations. \nToni Riera Roma\, despite being a superior technician in Applied Arts to the Wall and Pictorial Procedures at the Leandre Cristóbal de Lleida Municipal School of Fine Arts\, having trained himself in other fields such as the sculpture\, the engraving\, and the ceramics\, and having practiced painting for a time\, finally he succumbs to the object as a working method. He has been trained as a monitor and a workshop\, he is now dedicated to teaching in art centres\, schools\, and recycling festivals\, and he specializes himself in recovering the object as a tool for artistic expression\, promoting the values of creative recycling. In 2003 he settled to live in Menorca\, and it was here\, walking along the beaches\, where he began to discover among the waste that the sea carried towards its shores\, a new material to work with\, a new material that would be part of his work until now. \n  \nFrom November 27th to December 31st 2021\, at artAmore Sitges \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30h to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:Exhibition "Mud you are" by Koldo Logan
DESCRIPTION:Paint\, watercolor\, and human figures. He went back to his artistic origins\, now experimenting with three-dimensional clay modeling. The finish gains visual relevance reinforcing the blurred\, and almost rough\, molded figure. \nKoldo says “The interest that moves me is the masculine anatomy\, which is not unfamiliar to my previous work. Nevertheless\, this is a new media\, created by fragmentary pieces that seem to take form in front of the viewer\, as an inheritance of the latent fetishism on my previous work featuring transformed figures and my experience in portrait photography. My process turns into a beautiful and proportional masculine body as a plastic result. The portray of a svelte body which\, almost posing\, tries to engage the audience with its insinuations.” \nHis proposal is a tactful provocation that winks to the beholder. A cocktail of images that reminds to the Italian Renaissance\, the classical mythology\, and the Nude in Impressionism. \n  \nFrom August 27th to September 20th 2021\, at artAmore Sitges \nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30h to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

SUMMARY:Roby Painting Exhibition: Sitges Bubble’s
DESCRIPTION:From June 19th to July 15th\, 2021. The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday June 19th\, 2021\, at 6.30 p.m. \nRoberto Franco – ROBY \nSitges (1967). He uses all the techniques to carry out his works\, painting\, sculpture\, modeling\, etc.\, with an exceptional ability\, imagination\, fantasy and sense of humor\, that he manages to reflect it on his works. \n“Since I was little boy I drew\, and I remember with affection\, spending many hours visualizing the images that appeared in the stains on the tiles in my room. The cleaning lady used to scold me for drawing on the desk every day in high school. After the COU I did a course in advertising\, comic and airbrushing at the Joso School in Barcelona. Thanks to the persistence of a great friend\, I went to the Massana School\, where I was lucky to meet some friends like me. But in reality\, I have always been fascinated by creativity\, painting\, and all the materials to create\, materialize these thoughts\, or visualized the ideas. I still enjoy the works and concerns that cross my path\, and I hope to continue making pencil shavings. ”

SUMMARY:Sergi Lopez Upcycling Exhibiton
DESCRIPTION:At artAmore Sitges\, during the 52 International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia in Sitges\, Sergi López shows us two different collections\, based on artistic recycling made with old cameras: \nAPOCALYPTO \nCollection of miniature pieces inspired by an apocalyptic world and science fiction. Works made with recycled materials\, especially with pieces from old cameras and using steel\, leather\, ceramics\, cotton\, etc. \nSPACECRAFTS \nMiniature rocket\, vehicles and spaceships\, made to the smallest detail with discarded cameras\, recycled material that recreates the world of interstellar space. \nSERGI LÓPEZ (Barcelona -1979). \nSince he was a child he began to develop the ability to invent parallel and futuristic universes in his first toys\, transforming them\, as he couldn’t find what he wanted to play\, he began to create his first stages and models. Sergi in his adolescence developed very diverse interests\, highlighting his interest for the analogue photography\, the culture and the sports. \nSelf-taught\, he started out creating works with different techniques like the sculpture\, the painting\, the graphic design\, the furniture\, the clothing\, the interior design\, the photography\, the cinema and the writing\, focusing himself finally on the industrial design\, the result is a very eclectic work. \nNow he remains focused on photography\, and also the design of exclusive decorative objects\, unique pieces inspired by three of his passions: the outer space\, the sea and the cinema. \nIn his first works he achieves a special ability to recycle plastics\, metals or wood to create works of art. One of his philosophies is to avoid throwing anything in the garbage\, this is why he has an infinite workshop of classified pieces for the creation of his works.

SUMMARY:Painting Exhibition by Romina Rizzo “Bearded”
DESCRIPTION:From August 30 to September 24\, “Bearded”. \nRomina Rizo has prepared a collection of oil paintings inspired by different “bearded” icons of social networks. She plays with the male aspect that these men represent and mixes it with a more tender vision\, creating then characters that are far away from their stereotype. \nHer paintings always follow the same thread\, she creates images that cause a reaction in the viewer\, where emotional memory plays a fundamental role in perception. \nBorn in Venezuela\, but with Italian roots\, she lives in Roses\, Girona. Self-taught\, she studies painting now. Her main motivation for painting is her passion for art\, which for her means emotion\, just what she wants to convey with her work.

SUMMARY:Koldo Logan is back to Sitges with the Action Man Fetiche
DESCRIPTION:From August 30 to September 15\, Koldo Logan returns to Sitges with the Action Man Fetiche\, which can be seen at artAmore Sitges coinciding with the Bears Week 2019. \nKoldo Logan has transformed the Action Man that Hasbro made between 1990 and 2006\, in the current Action Man Fetiche and in artAmore you can see the latest dolls of the artist. \nKoldo Logan is a project in itself. His work is the product of a disturbing and transforming mind\, he seeks anonymity and unique facts in his premeditated designs. Activist of the second opportunities he refuses to serialize his work. His production is unique and limited. It has a beginning and an end. Why? Because every object of the past is exhausted. They go from realistic reproductions\, the fruit of his stories and his experiences\, to become\, in his latest works\, iconic and sculptural couples. The pilots\, butchers\, sailors and angels\, among many others\, have evolved from the meticulousness of the details and the most sophisticated costumes\, to the nakedness of the body and the pure color as the best exponent of the art and the strongest emotions. \nSo far all of them had been modified and reconstructed manually using recycled materials\, natural hair from friends in many of them. Their definitive features and styling are the result of a detailed and painstaking process of research on real or fictitious models\, many of them icons of fetish social networks object of the Bears tribes\, which glamorize male’s genetics physical values. \nKoldo Logan designed and recovered all the clothing and footwear\, as well as the accessories\, with the support of a select tribe of colleagues\, artisans and artists who have brought fabrics\, pins\, leather\, recycled materials\, points of view\, pictures and above all  a great dose of emotion and passion.

SUMMARY:Alfredo Zarazaga - Portraits of the inhabitants of the "Corral"
DESCRIPTION:The Painting Exhibition by Alfredo Zarazaga “Retratos de Habitantes del Corral” is the metaphor of a global problem from a local point of view. \nWith these portraits Alfredo wants to emphasized the importance of every marine being\, no matter how small they are\, they are part of that WHOLE of which we are all a part. They represent the vestige of the natural wealth and subsistence that were the “corrales” (The Chipiona fish pens). \nHis work always projects the same concept: “We belong to a WHOLE”. This concept analyzed is the result of his professional history using different materials and supports (sculpture\, painting\, drawings and prints) and working recycled materials\, which allow him to reuse something already discarded and give it a second chance\, he converts it into a new unique “object” with a different meaning. \n  \nExhibition: \nFrom June 29th to July 21st\, 2019\nartAmore Sitges\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30 am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm. \ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

Miller’s innovative work is recognized for pictorial assemblages that rely only on the flooring’s found surface\, with no added paint\, to render his subjects. His unexpected use of familiar patterns taps into the medium’s nostalgic qualities\, imparting a sense of personal history and rediscovery within each piece. \nIn 2012 Miller was chosen to create the artwork for the 13th annual Woodstock Film Festival\, joining notable artists Peter Max\, Milton Glaser and Bill Plimpton who were previously selected for this honor. Miller’s work was displayed in Barcelona during Drap Art\, a juried international exhibition of recycled art. \nMiller’s work has been widely exhibited including solo shows in NYC\, LA\, Philadelphia\, Seattle\, New Orleans\, Austin\, San Diego\, Pittsburgh\, Columbus\, Baltimore and Woodstock\, NY. His work has been presented at Art Basal in Miami\, the International Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair (SOFA) in Chicago\, Gallery Maison Bertaux in London and Outsiders Outside Art Fair in Harbert Michigan.
