SUMMARY:Exhibition "PEOPLE" by Cartrons\, research and design in paper Mache
DESCRIPTION:artAmore Sitges presents the new Exhibition “PEOPLE” by Cartrons\, research and design in paper Mache. \nThe opening ceremony will take place on Friday\, December 6th\, 2019\, at 12:30 p.m. \nExhibition:\nFrom December 6th\, 2019 to January 6th\, 2020 – ArtAmore Sitges\nOpen from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm\nAlso open on December 23rd\, 26th\, 30th and January 6th. \nCartrons is the research and design relating to the world of paper Mache\, since more than thirty years. The paper Mache is an ancient Chinese technique\, which consists of creating objects with paper\, either with paste or sheet. \nWith a unique technique\, Artur García gives to every work its character and personality\, to the extent that all of them can be considered as original and unique pieces\, even if they belong to a uniform standard series. He adapts his work to the needs\, always keeping the line of the uniform standards and introducing objects and colors to customize the piece according to the character to perform. \nHis source of inspiration is the constant observation of real life and his goal is to recreate the fun side of life. From his hands to your heart\, he does not intend to go any further\, his mission is to make you smile.

SUMMARY:Sergi Lopez Upcycling Exhibiton
DESCRIPTION:At artAmore Sitges\, during the 52 International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia in Sitges\, Sergi López shows us two different collections\, based on artistic recycling made with old cameras: \nAPOCALYPTO \nCollection of miniature pieces inspired by an apocalyptic world and science fiction. Works made with recycled materials\, especially with pieces from old cameras and using steel\, leather\, ceramics\, cotton\, etc. \nSPACECRAFTS \nMiniature rocket\, vehicles and spaceships\, made to the smallest detail with discarded cameras\, recycled material that recreates the world of interstellar space. \nSERGI LÓPEZ (Barcelona -1979). \nSince he was a child he began to develop the ability to invent parallel and futuristic universes in his first toys\, transforming them\, as he couldn’t find what he wanted to play\, he began to create his first stages and models. Sergi in his adolescence developed very diverse interests\, highlighting his interest for the analogue photography\, the culture and the sports. \nSelf-taught\, he started out creating works with different techniques like the sculpture\, the painting\, the graphic design\, the furniture\, the clothing\, the interior design\, the photography\, the cinema and the writing\, focusing himself finally on the industrial design\, the result is a very eclectic work. \nNow he remains focused on photography\, and also the design of exclusive decorative objects\, unique pieces inspired by three of his passions: the outer space\, the sea and the cinema. \nIn his first works he achieves a special ability to recycle plastics\, metals or wood to create works of art. One of his philosophies is to avoid throwing anything in the garbage\, this is why he has an infinite workshop of classified pieces for the creation of his works.

SUMMARY:Painting Exhibition by Romina Rizzo “Bearded”
DESCRIPTION:From August 30 to September 24\, “Bearded”. \nRomina Rizo has prepared a collection of oil paintings inspired by different “bearded” icons of social networks. She plays with the male aspect that these men represent and mixes it with a more tender vision\, creating then characters that are far away from their stereotype. \nHer paintings always follow the same thread\, she creates images that cause a reaction in the viewer\, where emotional memory plays a fundamental role in perception. \nBorn in Venezuela\, but with Italian roots\, she lives in Roses\, Girona. Self-taught\, she studies painting now. Her main motivation for painting is her passion for art\, which for her means emotion\, just what she wants to convey with her work.

SUMMARY:Koldo Logan is back to Sitges with the Action Man Fetiche
DESCRIPTION:From August 30 to September 15\, Koldo Logan returns to Sitges with the Action Man Fetiche\, which can be seen at artAmore Sitges coinciding with the Bears Week 2019. \nKoldo Logan has transformed the Action Man that Hasbro made between 1990 and 2006\, in the current Action Man Fetiche and in artAmore you can see the latest dolls of the artist. \nKoldo Logan is a project in itself. His work is the product of a disturbing and transforming mind\, he seeks anonymity and unique facts in his premeditated designs. Activist of the second opportunities he refuses to serialize his work. His production is unique and limited. It has a beginning and an end. Why? Because every object of the past is exhausted. They go from realistic reproductions\, the fruit of his stories and his experiences\, to become\, in his latest works\, iconic and sculptural couples. The pilots\, butchers\, sailors and angels\, among many others\, have evolved from the meticulousness of the details and the most sophisticated costumes\, to the nakedness of the body and the pure color as the best exponent of the art and the strongest emotions. \nSo far all of them had been modified and reconstructed manually using recycled materials\, natural hair from friends in many of them. Their definitive features and styling are the result of a detailed and painstaking process of research on real or fictitious models\, many of them icons of fetish social networks object of the Bears tribes\, which glamorize male’s genetics physical values. \nKoldo Logan designed and recovered all the clothing and footwear\, as well as the accessories\, with the support of a select tribe of colleagues\, artisans and artists who have brought fabrics\, pins\, leather\, recycled materials\, points of view\, pictures and above all  a great dose of emotion and passion.

SUMMARY:Alfredo Zarazaga - Portraits of the inhabitants of the "Corral"
DESCRIPTION:The Painting Exhibition by Alfredo Zarazaga “Retratos de Habitantes del Corral” is the metaphor of a global problem from a local point of view. \nWith these portraits Alfredo wants to emphasized the importance of every marine being\, no matter how small they are\, they are part of that WHOLE of which we are all a part. They represent the vestige of the natural wealth and subsistence that were the “corrales” (The Chipiona fish pens). \nHis work always projects the same concept: “We belong to a WHOLE”. This concept analyzed is the result of his professional history using different materials and supports (sculpture\, painting\, drawings and prints) and working recycled materials\, which allow him to reuse something already discarded and give it a second chance\, he converts it into a new unique “object” with a different meaning. \n  \nExhibition: \nFrom June 29th to July 21st\, 2019\nartAmore Sitges\nC/ de les Parellades 57 – 08870 Sitges\nTuesday to Sunday from 10.30 am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm. \ninfo@artamoresitges.com – www.artamoresitges.com

Miller’s innovative work is recognized for pictorial assemblages that rely only on the flooring’s found surface\, with no added paint\, to render his subjects. His unexpected use of familiar patterns taps into the medium’s nostalgic qualities\, imparting a sense of personal history and rediscovery within each piece. \nIn 2012 Miller was chosen to create the artwork for the 13th annual Woodstock Film Festival\, joining notable artists Peter Max\, Milton Glaser and Bill Plimpton who were previously selected for this honor. Miller’s work was displayed in Barcelona during Drap Art\, a juried international exhibition of recycled art. \nMiller’s work has been widely exhibited including solo shows in NYC\, LA\, Philadelphia\, Seattle\, New Orleans\, Austin\, San Diego\, Pittsburgh\, Columbus\, Baltimore and Woodstock\, NY.
