Marco Grieser-Rønnevig - Painting. There are plenty of bright colors put on canvas in numerous thin and thick layers, all held together by a flowing white line. The pictures show moments of happiness in a global World.

I was born in Munich in 1973. After school I went to live in Ireland and Britain. I have studied painting in Cardiff and Falmouth (GB). In 2000 I received the UNESCO-Aschberg bursary for a residency in Nairobi (Kenya). There was working with the National Museum, organized BIKE ART AFRIKA with Eva Rønnevig, in which he and 5 artists cycled from Nairobi to Dar-Es-Salaam (Tanzania). After his return Galerie Lebenskunst (near Munich) together with his brother and Eva, and then spent some years living on a houseboat in the South-West of Britain, in Cornwall. He is now based in the South of France, in the hills of the Fenouilledes, near Perpignan. His paintings are inspired by his extensive travels, and his passion for different languages, cultures and ways of living.
