Carnaval Sitges

Sitges has one of the most multitudinous carnivals with the greatest tradition in Catalonia. From Fat Thursday until Ash Wednesday, Sitges is magic, the truly climatic moments are the parades on Sunday and Tuesday. The children’s floats come out at noon and the grownups’ at night, filling the streets with wild abandon and joy. The figures tell it all: 44 floats, 2500 people dressed up for the occasion and more than 300,000 spectators. All this in a wild and merry atmosphere, with two main events: the rúa street parades on Sunday and Tuesday.
