DR.ZENON – “Robotnik Overload II”
Marcos has worked steadily and consistently to invade artAmore’s Heaven with his Robots, which are assembled with recycled metal objects from all corner of the galaxy. Marco comes back to Sitges with ROBOTNIK OVERLOAD II and you can visit the exhibition from July 23rd to August 25th at artAmore Sitges.
Inspired especially in science fiction of the 50’s and the craziest B series. Without resorting to any sketch or preliminary design, each robot takes shape from the materials that appear, keeping the original appearance and qualities of each object. Once created, its name appears alone, inspired by the materials used, a story or a character in homage to cinema or literature, which makes each robot a unique and personalized piece.
Dr. Zenon project was founded in 2013 in Tenerife. Marcos has exhibited their creations in famous landmarks such as the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) and the Fine Arts of Tenerife. He has also participated in artistic recycling fairs with Drap-Art in Barcelona and in Nómada Market, in Madrid, as well as fairs that are deeply rooted in the Canary Islands such as the Regional Craft Fair and the Pinolere Craft Fair.
