“Portables” Exhibition by Miquel Lligadas
Under the name “Portables” Miquel Lligadas presents at artAmore Sitges from May 6th to 28th, a small but significant selection of “intimate format” artworks, which, although they are not intended to be medium or large sculpture projects, are certainly sculptural in nature.
Miquel Lligadas tells us: “some people might call them jewels, but they’re not, I don’t claim to be a jeweler or a goldsmith either. The pieces now exhibited are a divertimento between sculpture, drawing and engraving, and it is a consequence, inevitably for me, of all the years I have worked in these fields”.
The opening ceremony will take place on May 6th at 6pm.
Miquel Lligadas i Pujadas
Born in Sitges (1957), although he currently lives in Terrassa and Capçanes, where he works. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and later a master’s degree in Art Therapy at the University of Girona.
He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally in Barcelona, Terrassa, Madrid, Germany, Switzerland, France, etc. and he has large sculptures in Kwangju, Kyonggido (South Korea).
Miquel Lligadas divides his time between creativity and the creation of his work, with art therapy workshops, which he carries out in different centers for people with intellectual disabilities, addiction problems and drug addicts in the process of reintegration.
