SOTA AQUEST BLAU

These series of watercolors, paintings and small sculptures, reflect his vision of the immense liquid space, full of life, called “Mediterranean Sea”. Sometimes we use this sea for pleasure, sometimes it is a means of exploitation and sometimes it is the scenario of conflicts.

Joan Ignasi says “I remember that from my earliest childhood I played in the forest, where I invented landscapes and constructions, now I still have the same passion for Nature and fantasy, if we add to this an attitude of respect and curiosity, the result is a visual and material world full of symbolism, metaphors and reflections “.

JOAN IGNASI ROS CASALS (La Mola- Sant Llorenç de Munt, 1955).

He studied Industrial Design at Escola Massana in Barcelona and sculpture at the Art School of Terrassa and at the Illa School of  Sabadell. He has had numerous solo and collective exhibitions of sculpture and painting.
