Jana Álvarez (Cantabria – Spain 1966) is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in Fine Arts and Fashion Design, based in Barcelona. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, both national and international. With professional experience as a freelance illustrator and designer she has worked for brands like Custo Barcelona and Antonio Miró. Propmaster freelance for film producers, T.V., advertising, publishing and social projects and NGOs. Her work revolves around the female figure as a metaphorical archetype of the creative force and the individual universal identity. She ponders the human being as devastating, ethically indifferent and dual element. All wrapped up and disguised as an aesthetic pop and colorful, creating crossbred and expectantly mythologies based on recycling of elements, both natural and organic but also artificial and technologic
