Manué (Barcelona, 1962). Visual artist, also known as The “Manugraphist”.

He’s depicting Barcelona’s live music scene since 2012 in a personal style: MANUGRAPHISM, which means perceiving reality as if the artist’s eyes are like camera lens or a scanner, and the artist’s hands are like printers… all of this happening in a real time! That certain artists may pretend to act like machines is not a new idea. The futurists did it over a century ago, Andy Warhol did it half a century ago, or even Kraftwerk four decades ago. “Manugraphist” extracts his resources from classical drawing tradition and baroque tenebrism.  “Manué portrays Gigi McFarlane on gilded walls” is the most accurate title for this exhibition.

It’s exactly what you will find in the exhibition room of artAmore Gallery in Sitges. A hybrid variety of disciplines : The plastic representation of the manugraphical muse Gigi McFarlane, and her music career’s evolution to date, as well as, the evolution of Manué’s style over the span of five years of frenzied artistic activity.
