Exhibitions and Activities during the Sitges Film Festival in Sitges
artAmore Sitges organizes Exhibitions and Activities to celebrate the 52 Edition of the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.
We will dress up during the next edition of the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, to participate in the Sitges Display Window Competition and pay tribute to one of the Sitges Festival’s main themes, the MAD MAX saga, post-apocalyptic films, fantastic and horror films. The participating artists this year are: César Santos, Jana Alvarez, Mano y Pincel, Octavi Intente and Sergi López.
We will also participate in the Children’s Gymkhana “Find the Wheel”, which will be held during the days of the Festival from October 1st to 11th.
In addition we have prepared Exhibitions and Activities to commemorate the 52nd edition of the Film Festival in Sitges:
Painting Exhibition “Robots” by Octavi Intente
Until next October 27th painting Exhibition by Octavi Intente “Robots”. A collection of original acrylic paintings that show us a humanized universe of robots, from the ironic, scathing, and genuine interpretation of Octavi Intente. Opening on Saturday September 28th at 6.30pm.
“Upcycling” Exhibition by Sergi López.
From October 1st to 14th , Sergi López shows us two different collections, based on artistic recycling made with old cameras. “Apocalipto”, Collection of miniature pieces inspired by an apocalyptic world and science fiction. “Naves”, Miniature rocket, vehicles and spaceships, made to the smallest detail to recreate the world of interstellar space.
Exhibition “Thriller Dolls” by César Santos
From October 1 to 14, César Santos “El Constructor”, an artist who uses recycled material to create dolls, houses, stages, vehicles and everything you can imagine. For the Film Festival he has made a series of dolls that transport us to the Zombie World and he also offers his tribute to Mad Max.
Make-up Zombie Walk. On October 5th, coinciding with Sitges Zombie Walk, from 12:30 pm, until 8pm, Kaya Art offers makeup. €5 accomplished face.
Also Plasticine sculpture Exhibition by Mano y Pincel: Original works inspired in Cinema characters, specially created for the 52 Festival.
artAmore Sitges is Art, Craft and Design. More than 150 artists and artisans show their wok at artAmore, especially creative recycling art.
