artAmore Sitges, a decade of life

We celebrate 10 years of life, a decade in which we have been committed to bring art closer, to fill the world around us with light and color and to support nearly 200 artists, who have exhibit their works or are still with us since our beginning  in 2014.

We want to celebrate it with you and with all our friends, and as our anniversary coincides with International Women’s Day, not by chance, we invite you to the opening of the Exhibition of Montserrat Figueras Pàmies, an artist who has developed her work in and for Sitges.

We will also count with the exceptional Maria de Vil as Mistress of Ceremonies, who will bring us closer to Montserrat’s work and will mark the beginning of artAmore Sitges’ anniversary.

We look forward to seeing you next March 9th from 6.30 pm at artAmore Sitges, to celebrate our 10th anniversary!

Exhibition “Reflections of color” by Montserrat Figueras Pàmies

From March 9th to April 8th 2024, at artAmore Sitges.

Montserrat Figueras, born in Tarragona but based in Sitges for many years, interprets urban beaches and coastal landscapes with her peculiar naïf style, which she defines as “naive impressionism”. In her imaginary, the spontaneity and the the narration of spaces that she captures through color and intensity are the base, using the watercolor technique.

Montserrat Figueras Pàmies is a painter who has combined university teaching with her artistic vocation for drawing and painting. From a very young age she devoted herself to drawing and later she studied painting techniques at the Prado Art School in Sitges. Montserrat has been a university lecturer for many years, specializing in philosophy and the history of law. She has written legal studies, novels and works of fiction and more than 50 articles on human rights and the study of legal philosophical thought. She has held several group and solo exhibitions in Catalonia, especially in Sitges and also in other Spanish cities.

The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday March 9th at 6.30pm, conducted by the Master of Ceremonies Maria de Vil.
