Collective Exhibition: “Upcycling Shoes – Transforming Footwear” Solidarity Artists

We invite you to enjoy the works made on old shoe lasts, which were base of the old Sitges’ shoes industry and these solidarity artists have transformed, using different techniques and styles. The profits earn will be allocated to the Ave Maria Foundation as part of its task in favor of people with intellectual disabilities.
Each participant artist has find the last of his shoe, and they have also create another work especially for the exhibition, introducing the same item, a shoe. Painting, sculpture, collage, artistic recycling, encaustic, etc. Imagination and creativity to shape a unique Exhibition.
The Exhibition “Upcycling Shoes” is an initiative of The Art Fund of the Ave Maria Foundation and artAmore Sitges, with the joint cooperation of the artists: Elvira Rodríguez Roura, Jana Álvarez, Javier Rey, Jordi Estivill, Kaya Petukhova, Lluís Barbadillo, Margarita González, Miquel Aparici, Nanin i Mestre, Octavi Intente, Ramón Manzañido and Romina Rizzo.
